RI-SMD-MRD2: Third party antenna

Hi Team,

Our customer is using RI-SMD-MRD2 in their project together with an in-house developed antenna. He would like to confirm if there is readily available TI or third party antenna which can be used with this module. I understand that we used to have series 2000 antennas which are discontinued. Can you please suggest a third party antenna that matched with the RI-SMD-MRD2?

Hello Danilo,

I'm not aware of any matching third party antennas. Also a quick google search did not show suitable results.

The exact antenna parameters are specified in chapter 5 of the Reference Guide. I think it would be possible to contact typical magnetic coil manufactures, such as Sumida, Neosid, Premo, or Blinzinger, and ask for manufacturing of an antenna according to the customer specified requirements.
