Regarding Key-Fob Design of CC1151-Q1

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1101, CC1150

In Datasheet it is mentioned that Only One Crystal Needed For Key-Fob Designs . I am not understanding this point this means that only crystal is required and no other components eg., passive components in the balun filter. If yes how to design the PCB layout please help on the issue. Because we have competitor Silabs Part No Si4010 where it requires only a few external components.

Hi,

I am not sure which part you are reffering to, we do have a CC1150, CC1110, CC1111 and CC1101. These parts all needs a few external componenets in the balun and filter in addition to some decoupling capacitors. The designs however only need one crystal.

Just found out that we have a CC1151, but that part also needs external comp for balun and filtering, see p 21 in the datasheet.

HI CHS,

When I am seeing Silabs "si4010" transmitter required 4-5 components externally. Only one capacitor is connected in between Antenna and pins of chip. How can we do this on our chip CC1151. Please we need to compete them in having less no. of external components. So requesting you to support on this....

The CC1151 is not a LPRF product. To get the correct support, please post this at the RFID forum http://e2e.ti.com/support/low_power_rf/f/667.aspx.
