I was wondering how the CC Debugger detects connected SoCs, since I have not been able to find anything related to this topic in the documentation.
Thank you in advance.

Not sure I understand which info you are seeking.
The CC debugger has a host MCU that communicates with the target through the debug interface (Debug data and Debug clock).
The different debug commands supported, you will find in the data sheet/user guide for the chip you want to debug.
For the debugger to be able to detect that there is a board connected, VDD on the target board is connected to pin 2 on the debug connector (Target Voltage Sense signal).
We are not distributing the source code for the USB controller inside the debugger.
