CC2510DK-MINI RSSI value over distance

Hello all,

I was wondering if there was source code available at all that could set one board into continuous Rx mode and the other into continuous Tx mode, and then interpret the RSSI values over a certain packet length. This RSSI value would then be able to be put into a text file if at all possible? This is as I am going to be testing the communication of the two devices at differing distances and calculating the RSSI, which will then be used monitoring the proximity of one device compared to another.

The transmit power for the transmitting board also requires to be at a constant power as I believe the transmission power is varied in the Simple Link test, which I tried to understand the code for but have not be able to understand much of it.

Also what are the required header files for a code to function in this way?

I have read application note DN505, which has helped very slightly as well as other forum threads which I have been through. However I still feel totally lost in how I am meant to approach this programme code, as there does not seem to be a similar question or application previously discussed.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, as I feel that I need some direction in how to construct this code.

Thank you,

Mairtin
