Scenario:
- Use an "out of the box" CC2650 Launchpad to do some Contiki development. Download and execute numerous times using SmartRF Programmer 2. No problems.
- Use same CC2650 Launchpad with CCS6 to do some BLE development. First time debug CCS reports that a firmware update is required and successfully does so. Numerous downloads follow - no problem
- Take same Launchpad and go back to Contiki development. Start SmartRF Programmer 2. It reports that a firmware update is required. I hit "Yes" and at 50% it locks up the SmartRF Programmer PC app. Non recoverable. It is no longer possible to talk to the board.
PC is running Windows 7 64 bit.
I have now killed 2 Launchpads this way.
Any suggestions?
Try to download latest XDS Emulation Software Package and install it. After installation, you can try to follow steps in ReadMe.txt under C:\ti\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110 to update your FW of XDS110 on CC2650 LaunchPad. See if it can rescue your CC2650 LaunchPad.
