When I try to launch the SmartRF Flash Programmer application, I get the error "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
This is with Windows XP or in Windows XP mode on a Windows 7 machine.
The application opens on a Windows 7 machine, but it is the 64 bit OS so it does not recognize the USB port so I cannot use it.
Any help or suggestions is appreciated.
Thanks.
In your XP environment, you might need a patch from Microsoft with some additional runtime components needed by applications developed with Visual C++.
Download the file vcredist_x86.exe from the URL below and install the package.

I also spent some time on the Windows Update website making sure that my platform was up to date. I installed a LOT of updates and, along with M's suggestion, the program worked.
