CC2544: About USB CDC Driver

Hi,

My customer is looking for the TI CC2544 USB CDC Driver and they also want to know if it pass Microsoft WHQL certification.

Hi Mike,

The USB CDC driver is included with the TI BLE Stack for example, so one way to get this is to download and install the USB Stack for CC254x.

I do not know whether or not it pass MS WHQL certification.

Hi Mike,

Disregard my previous post, I mentioned the wrong drivers which don't have anything to do with the CDC drivers.

Hi,

my customer met the following error while running WHQL test for TI CC2544 USB CDC driver:

InfVerif failed for Driver. Partial Log:Error 1203 in ccxxxx_usb_cdc.inf, line 49 : Section [fakemodemcopyfilesection] not found.

The ccxxxx_usb_cdc.inf in BLE-CC254x-1.5.0.16 is attached, please help to provide comments.

Hi Fredrik,

My customer is using TI CC2544 and can not pass the WHQL test of Microsoft Win7.

The Error message of WHQL test of Microsoft Win7 is :

Hi Mike,

Doing some searching on this online, this seem to be a common issue for these kinds of drivers when moving to newer windows version. Take this for example:

Not sure this is something we can help out with, I can verify that adding the empty section will make the error go away but I can't comment on if this impacts the functionality of the device in any way. The customer would have to setup their driver and test it out, I would assume they still have to create their own inf file for the end product in the end.
