TRF7962A: Change the RX gain reduction

Part Number: TRF7962A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TRF7970A

Hi,

I want to change the Gain setting (register) of TRF7962A.
However, it can't change the settings as follows.

・RX Special Setting Register (0x0A):B3,B2 Field
00(0dB)→11(15dB)→01(5dB)→11(15dB)

Do "Rx gain" have the limits(rules)?

Regards, Rei

  • Hello Rei,

because I don't have a TRF7962A available for testing at the moment I have checked the setting with the TRF7970A and can confirm that it is working.

There are no known limitation with the TRF7962A. It should work in the same way.

You wrote you can not change the settings. Does it mean the bits in the register can not be set or that you can not notice functional differences when setting the bits?

    Best Regards,

    Helfried
