TRF7970AEVM: TRF7970A EVM Peer to Peer Mode failed to connect

Part Number: TRF7970AEVM

Dear TI Team,

I have received new TRF7970A EV Modules, I´m trying to establish a connection in Peer to Peer Mode with the GUI.

I have managed to connect my PC´s with the Boards, but when I follow the steps described in User Guide, I keep getting the message "Set new target CID number", connection was not successful.

I have tried to set up another CID´s as the predefined ones and still keep getting this message. It doesn´t matter whether they are the same or different in Initiator/Target setup.

Why does not work?

Does TI have a workaround for that?

I would highly recommend you switch hardware and codebase to MSP430F5529 LaunchPad + TRF7970A BoosterPack

We are updating this shortly so SLOA192 code will reflect the newest, but the update is pending a couple items right now :)

Thanks for your reply.
Do you mean that TRF7970AEVW can't achieve peer to peer communication mode?
But the user guide book has clearly pointed out that TRF7970AEVW can achieve point-to-point communication mode.
I want to know is how to achieve point-to-point communication through TRF7970AEVW. Why is the problem described above?

Since it is your company's products, I believe your company will be responsible for the product, your company must know how to solve this problem.Please share the solution with me.

It's the firmware size that is the issue. For compliant P2P, a larger stack was required to meet the NFC activity specification, which evolved long after the EVM was introduced. That EVM has an MSP430F2370 on board, which is far too small. Your fastest path to success is to return that EVM and get the combination of recommended.
