LAUNCHXL-CC1352P: LAUNCHXL-CC1352P:

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC1352P
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1352P, WI-SUN, LPSTK-CC1352R

Hi.

I am doing a study of radio propagation using two CC1352P cards and SmartRF Studio v7, in Wi-SUN # 2a configuration and frequency 915MHz. I am using the Continuous RF tab to measure RSSI and RSSI offset. How can I save the measurements made using the Continuous RF tab? I am using version 2.20.0 of SmartRF Studio v7. Thanks.

Rafael.

  • It' s not possible. But why are you planning to use the Continuous RF tab to measure RSSI and RSSI offset? I would expect that receiving packets and record the RSSI and the timestamp would give a more accurate measurement.

  • Hi.

I tried using Dump data to file, but your system does not allow. I searched for an existing file and I don't know what file extension to use. Example of file: xxx.txt? I thought of using continuous RX as an alternative.

2nd - I am having trouble pairing LPSTK-CC1352R with my cell phone. I'm using DMM 15.4 package. When using DMM Provisioning Service function, the app asks password to pair. I didn't identify any password in the TI help or FAQ.

    Thanks. Have a nice weekend.

What error do you see? How do we recreate what you are seeing?

The file is a text file but you can name the file what you want, press ... to the right of the file name to select where to store it.

2: Do you use an example or have you written code your self? If you are using an example, which one?

  • Hi.

I created a file with .txt extension (Dump Data to File) and solve this problem. I changed from original folder to the folder below.

    C:/Users/rafael/Documents/Texas Instruments/SmartRF Studio v7/scripts/teste_medidas.tx

I am not a software developer.  I am doing a propagation study using two TI boards, one is the CC1352P-2 board and the other is LPSTK-CC1352R. I need a continuous transmission between the LPSTK-CC1352R to the CC1352P-2 to determine the Packet Error Rate using SmartRF Studio RF software.

Does TI have any examples for this application?

I am using SimpleLink Starter and software DMM 15.4 Sensor RD. When I press DMM Provisioning Service, SimpleLink asks for password pair. I tried two passwords 000 and 1234 and both were refused.

    I used DMM.

2nd screen - software asked for authorization to pair and password.

    Thanks. Have a nice day.

  • Hi.

I forgot to explain something. I want to use only sub-1GHz band to connect both boards. Tks.

  • Have you tried 123456 as suggested here: https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=AGJRa7--tr.fzEbsXEU7MQ__pTTHBmu__LATEST

But not sure why you are trying to use this example? Could you outline the intended usage in some more detail?

  • Hi, afternoon.

it's very simple. I want to send a standard and fixed packet from LPSTK to CC1352P2 over 915 MHz band with IEEE802.15.4 protocol.

    1st position: CC1352P-2.

    2nd position: LPSTK.

Packet from TX to RX – example: using the light sensor - dark = 0FFF or light=0000.

I will read this packet with SmartRF Studio -> Packet RX. I’m going to check all the information indicated below.

Do you have any apps ready to be used for this purpose?

    Tks.

  • If you want to only read the packet with SmartRF Studio and you are basically interested in CRC ok or not, why do you want to send light sensor data? The data you are looking will not be protocol dependent as such.

You could start using SmartRF Studio in both ends, then using the rfPacketRX/ Tx examples and then the 15.4 stack collector and sensor examples.

  • Thanks for the help so far, good week.
