CC1190: PA CC1190 RF track suggestion

Part Number: CC1190
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1310

HI there,

I was checking the LAUNCHPAD_CC1310_CC1190_1_3_0 design and i found that, there is some angle in the RF track. Image is attached for the reference.

Could you please clarify to have that type of angle? ideally i see that there is enough space to make that Rf track straight without any angle.

  • Hi Bhautik,

could you please upload the files directly to E2E as accessing external file sharing platforms is an issue for us.

  • Hi Diego, here is the image attached.

  • Hi Bhautik,

If the components can fit without modifying the antenna feed, keeping the RF path within the shield covering, and also not compromising the RF layout (for example by adding discontinuities to the current return path or violating manufacturing tolerances) then this should be fine.

The issue you may encounter is that by modifying the RF layout you could change the target load/source impedance presented to the CC1190, which would then require retuning of the BOM to compensate in order to regain the performance.

    Regards,

    Zack
