CC1312PSIP: migrating from CC1312R to CC1312PSIP

Part Number: CC1312PSIP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1312R,

Tool/software:

Hi,

I have a product based on the CC1312R. It is in full production and stable. The application is loosely based on the collector/sensor examples.

Can you please tell me if the code will run on the CC1312PSIP? It doesn't need to run higher than 14dBm.

If it won't run without modification, could you suggest areas that will need attention?

Many thanks,

Andy

  • The only thing that comes to mind is tha thte CC1312PSIP uses the DIO_3 and DIO_0 for hte RF switch, so if your project uses these DIOs for something else, that must be changed.

  • One main reason that I am migrating to the CC1312PSIP is because the module has FCC Part 15 certification. Can you please confirm that the FCC certification covers the 5kbps long-range mode of the TI 15.4 stack?

    5kbps, 5kHz deviation, 2-GFSK, 34kHz b/w, FEC=1:2, DSSS=1:2

    Many thanks.

  • Yes, all the WB_DSSS PHYs are covered by the certification.

The maximum output power is limited to 15 dBm with antenna gain of 2.69 dBi due to the Power Spectrum Density requirement of 8 dBm/3 kHz.
