CC3220MODA: NWP PHY Software Version 2.2.0.6 and 2.2.0.7 Differences

I'm working with a customer that put a product into production just over a year ago with NWP PHY Software version 2.2.0.6. They are looking into the possibility of pushing a software update to the field that includes the latest 2.2.0.7 PHY version (latest service pack).

Their test house required the test reports (including SAR) to be tied to the PHY SW version. In order to assess what may be required by the test house, they are wanting to know what has changed between versions 2.2.0.6 and 2.2.0.7.

As a side note, they were informed by TI (at the time) that TI would never rev this software version specifically so that service pack updates would not be an issue. ...so I assume there was a really good reason to do so .

Hi Stuart,

For our certification we use the nomenclature for the PHY SW version as 2.2.0.xx. SW Version 2.2.0.xx only includes bug fixes from 2.2.0.5, and no changes are made that could affect the PHY. I'd suggest the customer do something similar for their certification.
