CC3220SF: queries regarding CC3220SF PCB antenna

The Module with intergrated antenna is the only reference we have for a PCB antenna. It is possible to use another antenna, but will effect certification. 

if you choose an antenna from the list in our reports - it will still be covered by the FCC certification.

If you choose another antenna, make sure that (1) it is the same type of antenna, (2) the gain should be less or equal (to the listed similar-type antenna), (3) out-of-band behavior should be similar.

This is the guidelines we have for customers when choosing antennas. If you do choose an antenna not on our report, then ultimately the decision if you can re-use our certification with a different antenna is the test houses.

We don't provide the PCB antenna as a standard reference for our non-antenna modules, these use chip antennas. You could copy the antenna design from the antenna module, but will want to test and validate the design yourself.
