CC3220SF: AWS OTA with SIMPLELINK-CC32XX-PLUGIN-FOR-AWSIOT

The SIMPLELINK-CC32XX-PLUGIN-FOR-AWSIOT does not have an OTA example project and the "CC3x20/CC3x35 SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® and
Internet of Things Over-the-Air Update" document does not mention AWS.

Is there any documentation or a project which combines OTA with AWS?

Hi Mark,

The AWS IoT plugin does not support OTA out of the box. However, there are various methods you can use to integrate OTA functionality with AWS. An example showing this would be the Alexa-enabled CC3220 AWS thermostat design, which among other features has OTA that is triggered through a shadow state change from the cloud. That is probably the most full-featured TI-provided demo with OTA and AWS.

Alternatively, you can take a look at the AWS FreeRTOS builds for the CC3220. This is developed and supported by Amazon directly, but they have integrated OTA functionality into their latest releases. You can take a look at the documentation here:
