CC1352R: Changing baud rate in zc_light to 9600

Hi team,

Does the zc_light sample application support other baud rate other than 115200 to communicate with the UI? I tried to change the baud rate in cui.c to other value, but it results in the malfuctioning of the coordinator, the coordinator doesn't response to the UI or button 1.

Am I using the wrong way to change the baud rate or it only supports 115200? Thanks.

What terminal tool do you use? Putty? Can you elaborate what you mean malfuctioning of the coordinator?

Hi YK,

I'm using PUTTY. After reset the LaunchPad, the UI looks as below:

The UI does not refresh, and also it does not respond to the left/right arrow, or the button on LaunchPad.

Hi Shuyang,

The Common User Interface (CUI) expects a baud rate of 115200, smaller values are too slow to properly service the ring buffer in CUI_writeString. To resolve this problem the delay Task_sleep(100); from this function can be changed to a greater value like Task_sleep(1200); to account for the slower speeds. However the CUI has not been tested with a baud rate of 9600 and users should take caution when applying this change.
