Hello Guys,

I am kamalesh, Now I deal with OTA through cc2538 microcontroller. While flashing the image (sample switch) to the board (CC2538), It shows some debugging error. But, I connected the jlink debugger with these board and I also referred the z-stack implementation guide, 3.0.1 and workbench arm is 9.40.1. I attached the error in given below.

Any supports are greatly appreciated.

What XDS debugger and Z-Stack version do you use? It seems that you don't use matched IAR version described in Z-Stack release note and I suggest you to use matched IAR version do test again.

Hi Chen,

Actually, I used j-link debugger and my z-stack version is 3.0.1.

Could you please send the proper matched version of workbench arm for cc2538 microcontroller board.

If I remember correctly, Z-Stack 3.0.1 uses EWARM 8.11.1. If you use J-link, you should select Debugger as J-Link instead of XDS

Yes I selected and I did the execution of image A and image B in one board of cc2538. But In dongle execution, It shows error.

This error is related to the version incompatible between z-stack and iar embedded workbench. How I resolve this.

Use the exact IAR version that described in release note.

Can I achieve this OTA for cc2538 using latest version of EWARM and Z-stack ?

Actually, In dongle compilation it shows the memory related error like verificaion failed at 0x200000. How to resolve this error ?

If IAR version is not matched, it might not work as you have now.

Hi Kamalesh,

YK is correct on all accounts. For you interest, the correct version of IAR is documented in the Z-Stack 3.0.1\Z-Stack 3.0 Release Notes.txt document. You should contact IAR for both the correct version and assistance with using their IDE. You can also contact Segger if the issue is specific to the J-Link connection.
