CC2538-CC2592EM-RD: CC2538-CC2592EM-RD

Part Number: CC2538-CC2592EM-RD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2538, CC2592

WE are desifning a new Rf board where we are using the CC2538 and CC2592 combination.

We have picked up the layout directly from the TI application note.

The singkle ended ANT ooutput of the CC2592 is feeding a Inverted F strip antenna on the PCB.

The PCB manufacturer is simulating the characteristic impedence Z0 of the sigle ended line

by simulating each sehemnt of the line and wanting it to be 50 OHM and ignoring the L and C compnents

inbetween.

I believe that the TI recommended design would be cklose to 50 OHM for the whole line That is

From ANT output to input of the invet4d F antenna.

My assumptoioin is that individula sections of this trace cannot be 50 OHM. but the whole line including the

L and C in between will make it 50 OHM.

But t our POCB guy cannot simulate the ttrace and the componants togather.

So my question is:

Can I go ahead with the exact physical layout of the trace and antenna along with the recommended components

and and expect it to be close to 50 OHM which can be tuned by the two L and C components  in the RF line.

Please help,

Rahul hakhoo.
