Dear TI Experts,
My customer is testing RF parameter of CC2531 with IQxel , they use "packet TX" in SmartRF Studio to control CC2531, however, they can only measure power in IQxel .
they want to measure below paramater. Could you kindly advise how to config SmartRF Studio to measure these parameters? Thanks a lot.
TX:Freq Error、EVM、OffsetEVM、Power、Spectrum Mask
RX:PER、RSSI
Below is the test platform:

Hi Fredrik K,
we need to test the parameters in the production at factory ,to avoid parameter deviations due to non-consistency of each incoming componients.
Hi Yaojun,
Ok, so this is a production test setup, not for evaluation?
If so I would consider simply running a sequence of sending and receiving packets between the DUT and a CC253x device. This will verify that the DUT actually transmits and receives correctly. Additionally, measuring the current consumption of the DUT during TX and RX can tell you if it works as intended or not (missing components can for example lead to deviations in RF currents). The CC253x devices also have an internal register to read out frequency offset of incoming packets.
Back to the original question, what you are asking is tied to the setup of the IQxel instrument itself. If the instrument has requirements on data format you have to configure SmartRF Studio accordingly. Note that the current selected option in Studio sends a continuous stream of randomly modulated data, not packets. If packets are required you must change to "Packet TX".

Fredrik
