CC2564: CC256x QFN EM Comm port time out issue

Hi,

I have some problem on getting the CC256x QFN EM to work with the CC256x Bluetooth HW Eval Tool (BHET). Sending the BTS always result in Com Port timed out!

The CC256x is connected to the laptop running the BHET via a 3V3 USB-UART cable. The CC256x is mounted on the TI adapter board.

Only 3V3, GND, 3V3_TX and 3V3_RX are connected.

Do you have any idea how to get it to work?

FYI. The CC256x module was tested on another MSP-EXP430F5438 without any problem. I had set the SP Sleep mode to “Disable” still Com port timed out

The BHET is no longer a supported tool, for loading BTS files we suggest the use of HCI Tester.

You can follow the steps in the User Guide to setting up and executing a BTS file starting in section 3 of the document.

I still facing the comm issue while using HCI tester, please help and advise how to resolve this? Any root cause?

It looks like you are using the service packs for CC256xC, while the CC256x QFN EM is based off CC256xB. Is your evaluation board CC256xC QFN EM or CC256x QFN EM?

If it is not the CC256xC version, the correct service pack can be found here.

When you go to View/Options, what are the settings for the Port Connection?

Hi Dale,

Please see the screenshot for the setting, I tried different COM port number (COM3, COM32 etc.), the result is the same.
