SmartRF studio TX Power setting for CC1310 OOK mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1310

Hi,

In SmartRF Studio Ver7.2.3.1,

when I set CC1310 in OOK mode, I found the "TX Power" could not be set.

But in other modulation mode, "TX Power" could be set.

It means CC1310 in OOK mode, the TX Power is fixed?

What's the value of this fixed power?

Thank you

Jacky

  • For OOK, the TX power cannot be set in the same way as for FSK. This is why the TX Power filed in SmartRF Studio is disabled.

You can use the override editor in SmartRF Studio and change the HW_REG_OVERRIDE(0x6098,0x7200) in steps to get a different output power.

    Override

    Output power @ 25 Degree C

    0x6098,0x7200

    0x6098,0x7100

    0x6098,0x7000

    13.0

these numbers will give you an indicator as to what to expect for the different settings.

For the OOK patch we have, you only have the 18 different settings above to choose from. The CCFG_FORCE_VDDR_HH needs to be 1 for all the different overrides.
