Hi,

I am using WL1835MOD. Linux version is 3.10.45 Yocto project. I was working with R8.4 TI release and everything was working fine. Now I have to integrate R8.6 to my build. I got the R8.6 packages and I am using back ports to generate the wireless drivers. With the packages built when I boot my system I get the error.

wl1271_sdio: probe of mmc1:0001:2 failed with error -12

What would be the cause for this problem?

Hi Johncy,

Please modify the wlcore dts node

From:
wlcore: wlcore@0 {
compatible = "ti,wlcore";
...
...
};

To:
wlcore: wlcore@0 {
compatible = "ti,wl1835";
...
...
};

Can I change as,

Hi Johncy,

You would need to add some debug logs inside file: "drivers/net/wireless/ti/wlcore/sdio.c" function: wlcore_probe_of() and see where it fails.
Also confirm if the R8.6 build was successful.

The R8.6 build was succesful.

I applied the patch from below link

https://git.ti.com/wilink8-wlan/wl18xx/commit/5f99dcbde8e59f0b719f649f660b7f0537159bc0

and changed my dts as

wlcore {

compatible = "ti,wl1835";

interrupt-parent = <0x2f>;

interrupts = <0x19 0x4>;

board-ref-clock = <0x4>;

};

and now it is working fine.
