Linux/DRA750: PSDKLA v03.04.00.03 has error during boot process with older CPU/EVM

Part Number: DRA750
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA742, PMP, DRA752, TVP5158

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

I have an older J6 EVM board that works very well with the previous PSDKLA (v03.02.00.03) but when I use the new PSDKLA (v03.04.00.03) there are 3 failures reported during the boot process.  I've rechecked my build process and I don't think I've missed anything.  I'm wondering if my board is not compatible with the new PSDKLA.

My board identification number is:

CPU  : DRA752-GP ES1.1
Model: TI DRA742
Board: DRA74x EVM REV G.0
DRAM:  1.5 GiB

The 3 errors that occur during the boot process is:
[FAILED] Failed to start Load Kernel Modules.
[FAILED] Failed to start Synchronize System and HW clocks.
[FAILED] Failed to start TI MultiCore Tools Daemon.

Thanks,

Todd

Release 3.04 should work on Rev G version of the EVM

Can you attach a complete boot up log

  • Hi Srirama,

I've included the boot log below.

    Regards,

    Todd

  • Hi
The kernel and driver initialization seems to have gone through as expected - do see warning/errors message when services are started using systemd
If you were reusing the filesystem from a previous release, can you confirm if you had rebuilt the kernel modules against the latest kernel and installed them on the target filesystem - the failure could be due to inability to find and load kernel modules
  • Hi
Can you confirm if a clean recompile of the modules(against the new kernel version helped) helped
  • Hi
Hope your issue has been resolved - will close the thread(can re-open if needed )
