CCS/TDA2E: Compiling Lane Detection using CCS

Hi,

I have gone through the Lane Detection Algorithm User guide, under the directory "$ROOT\VISION_SDK_02_12_00_00\ti_components\algorithms_codecs\REL.200.V.LD.C66X.00.02.03.00\200.V.LD.C66X.00.02\modules\ti_lane_detection\docs"

We are trying to execute the Lane Detection Module sample application in TDA2x platform.

As per the Lane Detection User Guide, the compilation is done through command line.

Can somebody suggest us on doing the compilation with CCS. I have already tried and facing issues.

What are all the configuration we need to do when creating new ccs project and import the sample application source file and compile.

Which version of CCS you use?
Can you explain in more details the issue you face when try to compile from CCS?

Hi,

I am using ccs7.
I have the TDA2x vision sdk, where I have the "Lane Detection" library and sample application and documentation.
I am having steps to compile with cmd prompt with gmake under the test directory of the lane detection module.

I am trying to do the lane detection sample compilation with CCS. How can I make use of the existing Makefile and compile?

May i ask why you want to build this application with CCS? Is this for easy debugging?

Suganthi,

You dont need to build application in CCS for debugging. You can easily load application binary built through makefile in CCS and debug using source code. Creating CCS project through makefile for lane detection use case will be tedious as it would take lot of files to import.

Hi Prasad,

Yes, we can use the command prompt itself for compiling using existing Makefile, use CCs for loading and debugging.
We tried to compile with CCS also. We manually linked the libraries and the include file paths. Initially we faced some issue, but now we are able to create the binary using CCS also.

Hi,

can you give more details of what you try to do?

The suggested approach is to build the application with the makefile and then load it in CCS and debug it using the source code.

Hi,

I have successfully built the Lane detection example in vision sdk by gmake. I am now trying to shift this project to CCS so that I don't need to rely on the makefile. There should be some configuration in ccs such as including header files, linking libraries... . But there are always some problems in this configuration. Do you have experience how to successfully configure the project in CCS ?

The reason I do this is that, we have a big project based on this small project and CCS would be the platfom for our later development.
