Hi,

I need to enable two Ethernet PHY DP838867 and Marvel's 88Q2110 in VSDK Linux.

I have come to know from this thread

that simultaneous working PHY is not supported in BIOS but supported in Linux.

Can anyone please let me know how to proceed for working of the same in Linux,also in what files I need to make changes.

I am currently using PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_03_00_00

Dual ethernet ports are supported from Linux - but your decision to support ethernet usage (RTOS vs Linux) must be driven from your application use case need. The default Linux driver and configuration(from device tree) does support both instances on Linux - the pin is configured from boot loader and the PHY is programed based on the PHy driver binding (based on the device tree parameter)

This means for working them on Linux we need the drivers of both above? Correct me if I am wrong

If your requirement is to use them from Linux - please look for if the PHY part chosen needs a specific driver to handle it . You can check if the kernel already includes the driver for your PHY part. If the PHY driver is included or if only a generic PHY driver would suffice, you will need to modify the device tree PHY entries to match the "compatible" defined for the corresponding PHY driver
