RTOS/TDA2P-ACD: ISS Capture - 60 fps

Hi,

I'm using usecase for IMX390 sensor that is provided in Vision SDK 3.03 and I'm getting ~27 fps. What changes are required to get 60 fps from sensor?

Stefan,

Is your Capture outputting at 60fps? can you please check VSDK stats by pressing 'p' on console?

Hi Brijesh,

No, IN and OUT frame rate of ISS Capture link is ~27 fps. There are no frame drops.

Stefan,

Driver callback rate itself is 25fps, which means capture is getting frames at this rate, which is why entire chain is slow. Please check the capture settings.
Btw, which sensor you are trying out? I think OV2775 and IMX390 both supports only 30fps output in VSDK.

Hi,

I'm using IMI Camera with Sony IMX390 sensor and this sensor supports 60 fps. Can you tell me briefly what changes are needed to get 60 fps?

Hi Stefan,

In the default VSDK, this sensor is configured for 30 fps output, so you require to change sensor configuration for 60fps.
Also how many channels you want to capture? 4 channels each with 60fps rate will be difficult to process in ISP.

Hi Brijesh,

I need only one channel at 60 fps. So, I just want to confirm - ISS Capture will capture as many frames as the sensor sends, without any code modification (except configuration for sensor)?
Also, does ISS framework supports HDR mode with PWL compression and 10 bit A/D conversion?

Unfortunately, we don't have sensor settings for 60fps output. Can you please check with Sony?

ISS supports WDR merge with the PWL decompression.
What is 10bit A/D conversion?

Hi Stefan,

Yes, ISP can handle HDR images, but the fps really depends on the resolution and processing passes requires..
On TDA2Px ,we are running 2MP @30fps for 4Ch and there is some small room available in ISP.
