[Q] Latest LINUX EZSDK image(AM335X) does not have uEnv.txt

Hi,

I've downloaded and create and SD card from

http://software-dl.ti.com/sitara_linux/esd/AM335xSDK/latest/index_FDS.html

following instruction on Windows SD Card Creation Wiki

but sitara_linux_sdk_am335x.img.zip does not have required files to boot successfully.

There's no dtbs directory and uEnv.txt file. How can I solve my problem?

Hi Sungjin,

The .dtb files are located inside the rootfs partition: /rootfs/boot/.

What board are you using? How is it failing to boot? Any error messages?

Boot to uBoot prompt because there is no uEnv.txt file.

Please attach a log file of the boot process.

If the uEnv.txt file is not found, the system will use the default U-Boot settings to continue booting.

Also, I didn't see it mentioned, but on a Beaglebone Black, you need to remember to push the "boot" button to boot from the SD Card. Otherwise, you'll boot from eMMC.

Just to confirm that using uENV.txt works for booting kernel from TFTP and with NFS file system.
Here is my uENV.txt file for the Boneblack:

I might be missing something but it seems that it only works with uImage for me (Not with zImage).
If it is the case it would be good if uImage gets pre-built in the SDK distribution too.

To boot with zimage, you have to use u-boot bootz command. Not sure if you have tried it.

Following is my uEnv.txt for tftp & nfs with static IP for SDK7.0.
