AM335x ICE, Ethercat

Hi, I am trying to get started with Ethercat on TI Industrial communications engine as given in http://processors.wiki.ti.com/images/6/62/AM335x_ICE_QSG.pdf, but I am stuck at the point (6) Scan devices.

1- The scan devices functionality is disabled. Is there a reason for this?

2- Is there a set ip address on the ICE?

Windows 7 -64bit, Twincat 3, With Intel PRO/1000 Desktop MT: set as Twincat intel ethernet driver

For TwinCAT3, you can refer this doc - http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php?title=Configuring_TwinCAT_For_TI_EtherCAT_Slave . The issue seems to be related to the NIC configuration.

EtherCAT does not have a concept of IP address.

Hi,

Thanks for responding fast,

Sorted the problem by using VS 2010 Shell instead of VS 2010 express and followed the instructions in the guide

I will contact you again, as I progress with the project.
