Controlling stepper motor from Endat2.2

I wanted to control the stepper motor through endat2.2 protocol on Begal Bone Black and need to know what is required from software and hardware perspective?

Wanted to know .Is Endat 2.2 protocol part of regular BSP, git://git.ti.com/sitara-linux/sitara-linux-am335x.git ?

Apart from having the Begal Bone Black , what I need to purchase in order to control stepper motor from hardware side?

It would be great help if some one could point me where in TI BSP source endat2.2 is implemeted?
