AM3703 USB fails to start at low temperatures

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3703, TUSB1210

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

We have integrated an AM3703 with a  TUSB1210.

-During normal operation, we can read/write the registers in the transceiver.

-On our board we can control the reset line of the transceiver.
Keeping the transceiver in reset blocks access to the registers (as expected..),
releasing  the reset line makes communication with the transceiver possible again.

-Once the port 'breaks' at low temperature, communication with the transceiver is no longer  possible.
Even resetting the transceiver doesn't help in this case.

This would suggest that the problem is not between the transceiver and the usb device but rather internal in the Sitara, either the usb host controller or the root hub.

Unbinding/re-binding the drivers for the host controller and/or hub works as expected: the host controller and hub with 3 ports are properly detected but port 1 remains inaccessible.

The problem is triggered by cooling the board to about -20° and then (re)starting the system.
If the system is cooled while it is working, it keeps working.

I anxiously look forward to insights or suggested solutions.

kindest regards,
