Hello, TI Experts,

Is there a USB driver for TMDSEVM572X to run Android App. on Windows7 PC?

I can find how to run Android App. on Linux Host PC like below.

But we cannot find how to run Android App. on TMDSEVM572X with Windows7 PC.

We would appreciate if you tell me how to run Android App. on Windows7 PC & where to get the proper Windows USB driver for TMDSEVM572X.

Hello there,

The development team currently only uses Linux machines for Android, so we don't have any up-to-date instructions that TI has tested will work for the current version of the Android SDK and windows 7.

I really appreciate your help.

I understand TI recommend to use Linux machines for Android-SDK.

From your advice, it seems to success to run original App. on the EVM like below;

- Create App. on Windows7 PC with Android Studio.

- Generate .apk file. with build menu on Android Studio.

- Set up ADB on Linux-PC such as creating "/etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules" like below;

SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTR{idVendor}=="18d1", MODE="0666", GROUP="plugdev"

SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTR{idVendor}=="0451", MODE="0666", GROUP="plugdev"

- Linux host> adb install [.apk]

That is one way of loading APKs from Android Studio onto the board. If the legacy instructions don't work for allowing windows 7 to connect to the board over ADB, another method is to run Android Studio in Linux so everything is on one machine. Just use whichever method works best for your group!
