how to use ccs header to configure the register

Hi,

I am new beginner. I wanna to use the ccs header to configure the system easier, but I didn't know how to begin. Just example, WDTCTL = WDTPW | WDTHOLD; the instruction will shut down the WDT. However, if I wanna to use the watchdog and how I should use the header. Is there any book or material could help me? Thank you very much.

Which mcu are you using? Also specify the development kit if using one.

The device datasheet gives you a list of all hardware modules that are present in you specific MSP. However, the description of these modules, their registers and settings, is found in the family users guide. The register names and values found there are the same as defined in the header files, even though the header files define some more ‘for convenience’.
Both documents have to be used together. They can be downloaded from each specific MSP’s product page on the TI website.
