DLPC900: How to start DLPC900 hardware test

I designed the current hardware with reference to the 6500EVM，i have tested the 1.15V, 1.8V, 3.3V power supply and they are all correct，But when I connected to USB, I could not communicate with PC software (6500 EVM GUI),I think maybe i should start Flash Programmer through JTAG.

Do you have any good suggestions? such as power test ; sequence or other status confirmation.

From your comments, it sounds like you used the reference design schematic.

First confirm in Windows Device Manager that the device correctly enumerated. In the GUI it should also show connected, but you will not be able to do anything further.

You are correct that you will next need to use the FTDI UM232H Controller and driver as listed in the DLPLCR6500EVM / DLPLCR9000EVM User's Guide in §3.10 on page 50. [ http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/dlpu028c/dlpu028c.pdf ]

Once you have got your connections you will need to download and use the FTDI interface to load the bootloader per the User's Guide. After that you should be able to load the rest of the firmware over USB.

Thank you for your patience reply.

Now， the device has not enumerated via USB，power supply voltage is correct, how can I determine DLPC900 has been working?

Byron,

If the DLPC900 controller is powered it should enumerate. That is hardwired into the DLPC900. Please check all the grounds and power inputs to the DLPC900.

My apologies I was incorrect on this platform. The USB interface in the DLPC900 controller is loaded with the bootloader firmware, so that even if the board is powered on, if the bootloader does not work the USB interface will not enumerate in Windows.

Thank you for your important information.

Two questions:
1, LPC900 chip, the default contains the bootloader firmware?
2, If the power is normal, the crystal is normal,  if use the FTDI interface to load the bootloader is my only next step？

Do you have the FTDI USB-JTAG bridge set up? If so are you able to detect the DLPC900 in the chain?

but i can not do anything.

I used flash part as datasheet recommend MT28EW512ABA1LJS.

I see "FlashDeviceParameters.txt" this file, if i should change this file?

I have solved this problem，two steps：

1 Let the hardware connection is stable, patiently try several times.
2 Replace "DLPC900REF-GUI \ Flash \ FlashDeviceParameters.txt" with "\ DLPC900REF-JTAG \ FlashDeviceParameters.txt" .

After completing these, I have another new question,need your help.
