Where to download files related to Silicon Revision of C55x series?

Hi,

I want to be familiar to Silicon Revisions.
What are the PDF files names and from I where could download them? For examlpe I want to know the differences between Silicon Revision 1.0 and Silicon Revision  2.0.

  • Hi,

What kind of differences do you mean?
The difference between silicon revisions are bug fixes & workarounds. You can see those in the Silicon Errata document for the corresponding device. TI doesn't provide any other documents regarding this.

  • Hi,

    Thank you.

But I didn't find my answer.

Let me explain the issue in more details.

For example as you see in the image attached to this post, the silicon revision of devices C5504.C5505,C5514,C5515 is 2.0.

This is my clear question that, Is there any relation between these devices silicon revisions or not?

    There is similar question about devices C5501, C5502, C5503, C5506, C5507 and C5509A .

I'm sure you'll approve that I could not find my answer in Silicon Errata documents. Because this is the matter of comparison between silicon revision of different devices and it would not be mentioned in Silicon Errata document of each one.

Correct, this is not explained in the silicon errata. As for your question:
Is there any relation between these devices silicon revisions or not?

As these devices are of the same family, I'd say there should be similar bug fixes/recommendations/workarounds etc..

However, as far as I know, TI does not provide further information on this. This is not a public info that should be shared with customers. Let me consult the design team.

  • Hi,

    Thank you Yordan.
My question was answered by this sentence:

As these devices are of the same family, I'd say there should be similar bug fixes/recommendations/workarounds etc..

I'd be glad to ask you another related question. Is this sentence right or wrong:

The devices belong to the same family have similar improvements and revisions, either CPU revision or Silicon revision.

  • Hi,

This is not always the case, you should check the device Silicon Errata, to see what are the improvements/workarounds/bug fixes in the SoC.
