Installing dvdsk for dm355 - Ubuntu 10.04 problem

I am new to dm355 and  i want to develop a project for academic use in my master thesis. I try to install dvdsk software for dm355 on ubuntu 10.04, but it gives an error. I wonder, are we limited to Red hat linux enterprise server edition v3 or v4? Because in the getting started guide, there is a sentence like following.

The following Linux host operating systems are supported for use with the DVEVM.
❏ Red Hat Enterprise Linux v3 (Server Edition)
❏ Red Hat Enterprise Linux v4 (Server Edition)

And other problem, where can I find sample projects or examples for dm355?

Thanks for advance...

Seydi

  • maybe you shuld tell us what dvsdk version you are using and what error you get.

it sounds like you are using dvsdk 2.10. Generally the dvsdk is not limited to Red Hat. Ubuntu 10.04 should not be a problem (i am using it with dvsk 2.10). Demo code is included within the dvsdk, just look in the directorys: "demos" and "examples".
