DM8127 issue

I need help with what I will must do to integrate the DM8127 in my custom board. I'm using TMDXIPCAM8127 development kit from Apporpho.

I need integration the follow components:

- Ethernet switch.

- GPIOs

- SDcard.

- Uart.

- HDMI.

- Auto Iris.

- Image Sensor.

- Usb.

- 3g modem - via usb.

- wifi module - via mini pci express.

I need also documentations as porting guides, data manuals, etc. I'm studying users guides placed in ti_tools/ipnc_psp_arago/docs but that's not a enough information. I need some examples about above integrations also.

Firstly, I need an example of how can I configure DM8127 to use dual emac ports in switch mode. The ti_tools/ipnc_psp_arago/docs/TI81XX_PSP_ETHERNET_Switch_User_Guide.pdf didn't solve all of my questions.

Christiano,

Do you have the TRM for TMDXIPCAM8127, that should give you the information for the peripheral set you mentioned.

Also, the IPNC RDK documentation and source code covers usage of -

- Ethernet switch.

- GPIOs

- SDcard.

- Uart.

- HDMI.

- Auto Iris.

- Image Sensor.

- Usb.

We don't have any source code example for following -

- 3g modem - via usb.

- wifi module - via mini pci express.

However kernel drivers are included for USB and PCIe which should help you talk to these interfaces using standard Linux libraries.

Hi Rajat,

Where can I find these TRMs? The Manuals in ti_tools/ipnc_psp_arago/docs it aren't complete enough.

Christiano,

The TRMs for processors are not released along with the software. Do you have any FAE/Sales contact in TI they can give it to you.

1. Does DM8127 support a usb wifi module by usb host mode ?

2. Can you recommend any commercial usb wifi dongle that works with DM8127 ?
