TMS320DM8148: Calibration of the ISS with DCC for a new sensor

Part Number: TMS320DM8148

Hi All,

our customer is trying to do the calibration of the ISS with DCC for a new sensor, but having a couple of issues. First of all, Raw image capture does not suit to the description in the documentation. Documentation says that the Raw capture is the directly from the sensor output, without preprocessing. However, working with IPNC RDK 3.8, captured Raw image is actually the output of the ISIF module, which applies Black Clamp and 2D-LSC and digital gain. Therefore, black clamp ofset register should set to "0" and LSC should be turned OFF on the target prior to start calibration. Otherwise automatic detection of the black level subraction give wrong results.

In the end, black Level Subtraction plug-in works Ok. But with LSC and AWB plug-ins, I get errors.

Running LSC plug-in gives error "Image bit depth is incorrect". I can only continue and generate xml and bin files, if "LSC Enable" is set to "OFF".

Running AWB plug-in with 4 reference and 2 outdoor shots gives multiple of following warning

{Warning: Integer operands are required for colon operator when used as index}
---> In AWB_Get_DATA_LP at 271
In TI_AWB_Calibration at 13
In TI_AWB_Calibration_INITF at 169

and finally following error in the matlab_log.txt file:

> Index exceeds matrix dimensions.
Error in ==> AWB_Get_DATA_LP at 469
Error in ==> TI_AWB_Calibration at 13
Error in ==> TI_AWB_Calibration_INITF at 169

I use DCC v3.0.1 and installed "MCRInstaller-7.13-Win.exe" and "ActivePerl-5.12.2.1203-MSWin32-x86-294165". I tried it both on Win7 64bit and Win XP 32 bit operating systems.  Some help to resolve this problem would be very nice.

best regards,

Oğuzhan Demirci
