Transferring data from TFP401 to TI81xx processor

Hello

For DVI compatibility i want to use TFP401 Receiver instead of TVP5158 whose support is provided in the DVRRDK_03.5

What I want to do is take the capture syslink input from TFP401 but I can't find any information on how to actually transfer the relevant info from the TFP401 pins to the syslink

Can you kindly Help

You need to configure the VIP port in RGB mode since the TFP outputs 24 bit RGB.

I can't comment on the software changes required unfortunately.

Hi Steve,

I am thinking about connecting the TFP401A to the VIP0 A of the DM816x since it is 24bits, It would use discrete sync signals right? I am asking this since I have read that the DM816x could have some problem capturing frames with discrete sync signals:

I believe the limitation is only valid for PG1.x so using the TFP should be OK on silicon revision 2.x

I can't comment on software support though unfortunately.

If no one replies to this post I would suggest starting a new thread specifically for the capture configuration necessary.
