I have a customer who is using DM6446 with NOR boot.
Customer is planning to move SPI boot because NOR purchase is getting difficult these days.
As far as I understood from the latest reference guide, SPI boot is supported.

I also found below application report, and some tools for UBL are provided. But it does not cover SPI boot.
