Sorry for the delayed response.

You can cross compile any C++ app on OMAPL138 LCDK board using "arm-arago-linux-gnueabi-g++"

Ex:

arm-arago-linuxgnueabi-g++ -I /path/to/opencv/include -L /path/to/library opencv_sample.cpp -o tru2 -lopencv_core -pthread

I presume that you have cross compiled the opencv libraries for armv5 architecture and installed in corresponding toolchain location.

I have built the OpenCV with codesourcery toolchain as described in the Wiki http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Building_OpenCV_for_ARM_Cortex-A8

Will this work for Arago toolchain also? or I will have to cross-compile openCV for Arago toolchain ?

If yes, then Please tell me the procedure for that.

Hi Vivek,

Actually OMAPL138 processor is ARM9 and not a cortex A8.

You have to cross build the opencv source libraries with armv5t toolchain, say e.g, arago or any armv5t toolchain.

How did you compile the openv source ?

Yes. You have to cross compile the opencv for arago armv5t toolchain which is provided with OMAPL138 LCDK's SDK.

OR

To confirm, try to cross build hello.c (example) c file using the codesourcery toolchain and run on OMAPL138 LCDK board.

I have cross compiled hello_world.c using codesourcery toolchain and successfully  executed on OMAP-L138 LCDK board.

But When I tried to compile .cpp file given in samples folder of OpenCV, it is showing error of 'undefined reference to--' all variables. I have include the path as  this:

arm-none-linux-gnueabi-g++ -I /usr/local/include/ -L /usr/local/lib/ drawing.cpp -o drawing -opencv_core -pthread

I don't know why it is not taking the path.

Another thing is when i went to build folder where I built opencv for codesourcery,It is showing all folders with cmake files rather than .hpp files as in general OpenCV folder.I tried to include this folder,but it is not taking the path.

Do I have to include anything else in arguments? And what is the need to include -opencv_core and -pthread in argument?

I have gone through all those links and studied them.

But I am still confused that whether syslink supports this Toolchains Codesourcery, Angstrom etc. or not.

So that I can build DSP side Application using openCV using C6000 code gen tools.
