AM1808 SATA GEN3 Target Initialization Failure - SPRZ313

Hello,

The errata mentions that this part does not always successfully initialize with a SATA GEN3 Target. What is the failure rate (most every time, sometimes, rarely)? We are trying to predict how many reset / repeats will be required in the field.

Hi Kevin,
Its seems to be always TARGET would falsely respond to SATA controller when speed negotiation starts and eventually it end up with unknown state.
Please note that 3rd method workaround is not preferred one.
So try to reduce the speed to GEN2 or GEN1 for SATA use.
