TMS320C6748 facedetect_lcdk - getting messages and warning while building-.out file not generated

Hello all, I am facing an issue while Building the facedetect_lcdk project (demo ccs/cce eclipse project coming with kit) in the code composer. Even I tried uninstalling 5.3 code composer and installed Code composer v5.1.0.09000 as given in the instructions in the LCDK kit. But still I am getting the below errors.Please help me. I am not able to generate .out file at all

It seems to be the configuration issue on face detect project "facedetect_lcdk.cfg"

Have you included "facedetect_lcdk.cfg" configuration file on your face detect project.

Hi Joseph,

Did you install the complete C6SDK package successfully? ( What are the sub-packages installed such as enabling XDC tools ) ? or you just tried to copy and import the demo project alone without the package installation.

Would you please tell us the steps you followed to get into this point.

Hi shankari,

First I installed the code composer studio CCS5.1.0.09000_win32 ( Initially i installed CCS5.3.0.00090_win32 and due to issues uninstalled that and installed CCS5.1.0.09000_win32)

Then installed Code gen tools 7.3.1

finally bios_c6sdk_02_00_00_00_setupwin32.

I am able to see that xdc is installed when I did the above installations but I don't know how to enable it?

Hi Titusrathinaraj,

After importing the demo project, the file structure is as shown below. facedetect_lcdk.cfg file has only 65 lines? It seems in your screen shot it has above 400 lines. I don't know what is the problem. Can you please upload the facedetect_lcdk.cfg file so that I can copy and replace my file? And also is there any other root cause of this problem? Please help me

Hi Joseph,

Did you upload any screenshots?

If yes, Would you please upload the screenshots again. The snapshots you uploaded is not viewable.

The following are our suggestions.

1. Try running the CCS as an administrator and import the project again.

2. While importing the project, what is the option choosen? Make sure it is "Import existing CCS Eclipse project" and not the other one.

3. Click the properties of the facedetect project and click the linked resources ->path variables.Verify that the path variables are correct. If possible post that screenshot too.

4. I hope you installed the CCS with appropriate processor selection such as "C6000 Single core DSP"

I use CCS version 5.4 and C6SDK version 2.00.00. Able to build without any problem.

Opened the CCS as administrator and imported and compiled the face detect using the below options. It was compiled fine and out file is created successfully. Thanks for the help
