Hi,

DDR2 used in TMDXLCDK6748 Eval Board (Samsung K4T1G164QF-BCF8 ) is on EOL . Can anyone suggest an equivalent DDR2 ?

I have designed a board based on TMS320C6748 and just realized that I need an equivalent part for this which is available is Digikey / Mouser.

I will not really need 1Gbit ( 64M X 16 ). Can use a 512Mbit or 256Mbit part too.

Thanks for the quick answer. This part is not available in Digikey/Mouser.

Any idea whether the following parts can be used ? ( These are available in Digikey and can be bought in small quantities for the proto)

Anil,

Please make sure the AC timing parameter of the DDR parts you’ve selected matches the existing DDR part used in our EVM or LCDK, if that matches you can go ahead and use the part as a drop in replacement.

If you find something irrelevant please let us know, the reason we are insisting on the timing parameter is to make sure you can use the existing boot loader or driver to configure the DDR, without get into hassles on changing the existing driver.

You can check this part too MT47H64M16HR-3:G , which is used in our AM1808 EVM from spectrum digital .

I’ve check the availability, component direct has some decent quantities, but shipping time is 10 day.

Will go for MT47H64M16HR-3:G. It is available in Digikey and I buy other components for proto from Digikey.
