Can I use ft2232d for designing on board emulator for tms320c6713?

I want to design dsp board using tms320c6713. Can I use ft2232h for jtag ..Please provide some suggestions.

Dear Shashi,
It seems, ft2232d is USB-UART converter, this IC itself not enough to design the emulator, I think, you may need FPGA or additional processor or controller to design the emulator.

TI's new XDS1xx & XDS2xx emulators won't fit for C6713 DSP so we don't have any reference design for emulation.

I have worked with eDSP on board emulator and XDS510 USB emulator for C6713 DSP board.

Let me check with HW guy for this.

Shashi,

The onboard or external emulators are proprietary designs and we do not have any reference design to provide to our customers to design on their own. We recommend you to provide a JTAG connector in your target board and use a compatible external emulator for debug purpose.

The C6713 supported emulators are listed in below link.
