Hi,

Does ucd9248 need repeated start to probe?

I have removed repeated start feature from i2c controller driver and after that am getting kernel panic error.

It is working fine with repeated start, not getting what is the dependency.

could anybody please help me to understand the problem.

    It is possible that repeated start is needed to have i2c communication with the ucd9248 device.

    Could you provide some more details for your setup?

    With which device (SoC) do you interface your ucd9248 controller?  Which SDK release do you use?

    Can you attach the dmesg output or some log?
