Hi,

I have a customer who is interested in UDP throughput of Sitara devices with Linux SDK.
We found below Wiki site and it shows some data.

But it is not clear number of A15 cores used for AM57xx (1 or 2).
And how much CPU load is needed. (For TCP Throughput, CPU load is shown)

Could you provide the information ?

Hi KoT,

This is the officially released kernel performance data.

We do not have publicly available data for cpu load, when benchmarking the ethernet.

OK, I understood no CPU load data are available.

But we should know number of CPU cores used for AM572x at least.

I believe the performance guide indicates the dual cortex a15 load, but lets wait on the factory team to confirm.

Hi, KoT,

The performance is done using iperf with the following command "iperf -c <server_ip> -P 2 --format m -u -b <bandwidth/2>M --len <packet_size_in_byte> -t 60"

SMP Linux will distribute those 2 threads in different cores.

I am not familiar to iperf, but I understood two streams are used and each thread is distributed to each core (total 2 cores are used).
