Missing wiki - Definition of YUV420SP video format

I've figured it out, but there really SHOULD be a wiki entry over at http://processors.wiki.ti.com to define, with pictures even, the YUV420SP video format.

I searched the wiki for "420SP" and only 3 results came back, none of which defined the format.  Meanwhile, wikipedia defines YUV420P (planar)  at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YUV#Y.27UV420p_.28and_Y.27V12_or_YV12.29 , including a nice picture.

But with "SP" meaning "semi-planar", what's "semi" about it?  The forum post at http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/100/p/58574/208668.aspx#208668 spends the trivial amount of time to provide enough info to understand.  In combination with the wikipedia entry, things become very clear, barring any unanticipated complication.

I strongly suggest that the power that be add a ti wiki entry remotely similar to the wikipedia one, for defining YUV420SP, aka 420SP in the literature.  Perhaps this entry should also be organized by processor and provide a summary of capabilities with definitions for each processor.  I believe I ran across a capabilities summary somewhere, but there were no definitions.

Thanks,

Helmut
