DM8168 Memory Map

Hi, TI Experts

    We're using DM8168 with RDK3.0.

    In our usecase, when 2-channel RTSP to be received for decoding(720P30), it works properly, but when increased to 6-channel, fault emerged.

    By the way, when the resolution of 6-channel received RTSP streams be set to 720*576@30, it can work properly also.

    Logs as following.

    1)

      [m3video]  14797: Assertion @ Line: 159 in utils/src/utils_tiler.c: (UInt32)(pFrame->addr[0][0]) != SYSTEM_TILER_INVALID_ADDR : failed !!!

    We analyses that it results from the insufficient capacity of Tiler Memory, So we increased it.

    We doubt that it is because of the lack of buffer for LINK Creattime Initialization, so we increased SR2, but actually, we are not certain if SR2 is ready for LINK buffer.

    In additional, we increased SR1, Video M3 code, Video M3 data, VPSS M3 Code, and VPSS M3 Data;
