Hello.

My customer trying to use XIO2001 for their system.

Their system need to read Power on self test CODE from PCI card on start up phase.

Can XIO2001 pass through power on self test code from PCI card?

If not, does any other way to read power on self test code?

Hello,

The XIo2001 will show the slot power capabilities on the Device Capabilities Register at PCI offset 0x74.
Is that what Customer is looking for?

Hello, Thank you for your reply.

Our customer is going to use something like following POST card for the PCI side.
en.wikipedia.org/.../POST_card

Will this work even if I connect it in the PCI side of XIO2001?

Such a POST card will work, even behind a PCIe/PCI bridge like the XIO2001.

Such a POST card will work only if the bridge supports subtractive decoding for ISA I/O addresses. The XIO20001 does not support this.

(Please note that POST codes are never read; they are written by the BIOS to the card.)
