TUSB3410 driver for Windows 7 (x64) for the INTEL PM55 Express Chipset

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB3410

Good day!

My customer tried to instal the driver for the TUSB3410. OS is Windows 7 (x64). Laptop is SONY VAIO VPCCW25FG - Windows 7 x64, Intel PM55 Express Chipset.

He tried driver's verions 6.7.2 and 6.7.1. He olso reinstalled the OS and tried to install drivers, but they don't work. He tired to install the driver manually, but got an error.

After many manipulations driver worked, but when customer disconnected and connected the device again, he again didn't work. Another devices for USB ports works fine with that laptop.

Could you tell me, what is the issue can be and what to check?

Thank you, Mike

  • Hello Mikhail,

Could you please give us more details about the issue?

    - The customer is connecting the Device to a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port?
    - The device is enumerating in the Device Manager? I mean, even without the driver installed, the device should be enumerate in the device manager.
    - They can reproduce the issue using our EVM? or its only related to the customer's implementation?
-If they connect the device to a different port (or PC) it works correctly?
    - What is the error that they have when they try installing the driver manually?

    Regards,
    Roberto.
  • Good day Roberto,

Please, see answers on your questions below:

    - The customer is connecting the Device to a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port?

Customer tried all ports. I.e. USB2.0 and USB3.0

    - The device is enumerating in the Device Manager? I mean, even without the driver installed, the device should be enumerate in the device manager.

Yes, device is exists But has error message "code 10": It is not possible to run the device (Sorry, all messages are in Russian, so I don't remember how it sounds in English version of the Windows)

    - They can reproduce the issue using our EVM? or its only related to the customer's implementation?

Customer tried his own board. He didn't tested the EVM

-If they connect the device to a different port (or PC) it works correctly?

Customer tried all ports on this laptop. This device with the TUSB3410 is in mass production, and works fine with another laptop or PC.

    - What is the error that they have when they try installing the driver manually?

Driver version 6.7.2 has message: This platform doesn't support. Version 6.7.1 says: File doesn't exist.

Thank you for the help with this.
